Reminder: No School
Supply Chain Disruptions and School Meals
Due to supply chain issues brought on by the pandemic, district meal menus may change without notice. We are doing everything possible to ensure that your child is getting the proper nutrition they need and that is required by government guidelines.
What can you do to help?
- Review the school breakfast and lunch menus with your child, and make sure they are comfortable requesting another option if they don't like a substituted menu item.
- Encourage them to try new things. Discuss with them the importance of "just one bite" to test out foods. (They might think they don't like it, but Mrs. Heather makes a pretty incredible blanched broccoli that students ask for seconds of!)
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact me directly at conkright_heather@svvsd.org or 720-652-8101.
Let the fall fun begin!
Hey all! We are so very excited to be able to share the wonderful news that in a few short weeks we'll be having our yearly LEE Fall festival, Trick or Treat street and the always very fun and popular Cupcake Walk.
The Fall Festival will be held October 23rd 1pm-4pm.
This year things will be set up and ran a bit different to accommodate the covid guidelines. For those of you that are new to Longmont Estates, the Fall Festival is a fun day filled with carnival style games, costume contest, competitions, prizes, goodies, goblins and more. This year it will be held outside on the school grounds, which is a great plus having more room for the kids to run around and enjoy the activities. Students, parents, and families are encouraged to wear costumes and dress up! (Please keep in mind, no bloody, gory costumes and/or fake weapons)
* Kids will be making their very own arcade games this year*
Here are some ways Longmont Estates family can help make this year’s festival a big success.
-Donate a bag of candy for Trick or Treat Street
Each class will be participating in a contest to see who can collect the most bags of candy. Winning class will win EXTRA RECESS! (Candy donation will be the 18th-21st of October.)
-Donate to our cupcake walk with prepacked or store-bought desserts. (Please no homemade desserts)

-Come help and volunteer before, during, or after the festival.
