Dear Field Parents and Guardians,

Happy New Year! We hope your family enjoyed winter break, and that the transition back to our school routine went well this week. We also hope your family stays warm and safe this weekend. As a reminder, we do not have school on Monday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's birthday.

Now that cold weather and snow are here, please be sure that your children bring the appropriate winter weather gear (snow pants, boots, warm coats, etc), as we do go outside for recess most days. Please be sure these items are labeled with your child's name.

A few items:

• Please be sure to follow the rules of the road during arrival and dismissal.

• Please no dogs during arrival and dismissal.

• We also wanted to share that Mrs. Voigt will be on a leave of absence for January and February. Ms. Dominica McNair will be our art substitute. Her email address is dmcnair@d64.org.

Mark your calendars! Here are important dates regarding registration for the 2024-2025 school year.

• January 16th, 2024 - Registration begins for ALL District 64 students. (This includes *Preschool and Kindergarten)
• March 22nd, 2024 - Registration closes

*Parents that are registering their child for preschool for the 2024-2025 school year, will not be invoiced for tuition and fees at this time

More information will continue to be communicated to families. Plus, all important info will be posted on our Registration Page as well.

• January 15: No School
• January 18: Field School Spelling Bee
• Week of January 16: ACCESS testing begins for English language learners
• January 25: Board of Education meeting at 7pm
• Week of February 5: CogAT for 2nd graders
• February 15: Field Family Night (open house for current families to see their children's classrooms and learning - more details to come) from 6-7:30pm
• February 16: No School (teacher institute day)

PTO Membership

It’s never too late to join! PTO membership is available for purchase year-round. Please consider supporting the PTO by purchasing a membership, which supports a variety of programs and activities for students and teachers: Back-to-School Bash, VIP & Me Dance, Spring Carnival, and classroom parties; assemblies and field trips; teacher grants; equipment and facility improvements, etc. Plus, it’s a great way to stay informed about what's happening at school and connect with other parents as well! PTO members receive access to the PTO directory and a yard sign.
