Head Cheetah's Message
Dear Families,
Next week we will be celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week! Our teachers work incredibly hard every day to nurture our young learners’ social, emotional, and academic growth. We are so proud to lead a school that is full of such caring, committed educators. Please join us in thanking our teachers for all they do. Let’s help them remember that they are our students’ heroes!
In addition to Teacher Appreciation Week, we are also pleased to share our spring Parent Feedback survey. We truly value your input, and strongly encourage you to complete the survey. Your experience matters to us! 21-22 Parent Feedback Survey

Physical Education News
Hi everybody, we hope you had a great vacation and are enjoying the spring temperatures and weather!
We are now wrapping up our Gymnastics Skills Unit in PE class, which covers the entire month of April. The children focused on clear expectations of both technical skills in gymnastics and all the safety rules that go along with this unit. They did a great job on both ends!
The first week of May we will be using the cargo climbing nets, then going back outside whenever we can to finish up the year with cooperative games and our track and field unit.
Here is a summary of how the gymnastics unit went:
PreK and K- We worked a lot on the mats and tumbling wedges with balances and movements using a wide variety of muscles. We also used the various balance boards, balance beams (including the last week where the children were able to try the high beam, with the coaches spotting!), and vaulting area with the spring boards.
Grade 1- We worked a lot on the mats and tumbling wedges with balances and movements using a wide variety of muscles. We also worked on cartwheels, round offs, and various forward rolls. We also used the various balance boards, balance beams (including the last two weeks where the children were able to try the high beam, with the coaches spotting!) where the children practiced four dismounts (along with many balances and movements on the beam), and the vaulting area with our spring boards.
Grade 2- We worked a lot on the mats and tumbling wedges with balances and movements using a wide variety of muscles. We also worked on cartwheels, round offs, and various forward and backward rolls. We also used the various balance boards, balance beams (including the high beam, with the coaches spotting) where the children practiced four dismounts (along with many balances and movements on the beam where routines were developed), and the vaulting area with our spring boards, where several various vaults were practiced.
Grade 3- We worked a lot on the mats and tumbling wedges with balances and movements using a wide variety of muscles. We worked on tripods and tip-ups as well. We also worked on cartwheels, round offs, and various forward and backward rolls. We also used the various balance boards, balance beams (including the high beam, with the coaches spotting) where the children practiced four dismounts (along with many balances and movements on the beam where routines were developed) and the children were also able to develop and show their routines to be scored, and the vaulting area with our spring boards, where several various vaults were practiced and challenges took place.
The children are very excited to climb the cargo nets next week! Children get a chance to go onto the cargo net, see how it feels, and then safely climb up to comfortable, and safe height, with the coaches spotting.

Nurse News
Dear Parent/guardians,
We are seeing an uptick in recent Covid cases and symptoms. If your child presents to the nurse's office with a complaint of the following symptoms, we will most likely be calling to have your child picked up from school and highly recommend testing even if there is no known exposure. Stay home when there are any signs of infectious illness and contact your healthcare provider for further guidance. These symptoms include:
-fever or chills
-cough
-shortness of breath or trouble breathing
-fatigue
-muscle or body aches
-diarrhea
-headache
-new loss of taste and/or smell
-sore throat
-congestion/runny nose
-nausea/vomiting
Please also note that students need to be fever and symptom free for at least 24 hours without use of medication before returning to school. Please consider sending in a doctor’s note if the symptoms are related to seasonal allergies, as May is a terrible month for allergy symptoms. We appreciate your assistance in keeping our school healthy and safe for our students and staff. We also have several Covid test kits remaining, so let us know if you need one!
Thank you,
Nurse Katie and Miss Michelle
