Bonham High School Board Report

While we have all been waiting with regard to our recent state assessments and the results, we have also been working! Our teachers, staff and students are aware that summer is right around the corner, but that doesn't mean that they are planning time off. Summer school, summer assessments, summer camps, summer workouts, summer schedules, summer shows, and so much more. Not to get ahead of ourselves, but the action never stops for students here at BHS and we are already practicing for what will be a great 2023-2024 school year!

A huge thank you to all of our students from the BHS Fishing Team that came out to serve at the Cast 4 Kids!! BHS Fishing Coach Erik VanMeter stated "We all had a blast serving these kids & helping bring some smiles to their faces!!! Ryan was Awesome & a blast to hang out with today!! Thank you Ryan!"

Our Senior Texas Scholars were recognized this past week at a small ceremony this past week. Pictured above are our recipients.

Alexia Fuller has officially completed the Cosmetology program!!! She clocked her 1000th hour to achieve this goal. Mrs. Verner shared the following about this young lady:

"1000 clocked hours… WOW, what an accomplishment! Four years she has devoted herself to the program and was determined to finish before graduation. I’m beyond proud of her hard work and efforts! Now on to preparing for the final step before receiving her license… State Board Practical Exam!"

Both our Men's and Women's Warrior athletic banquets were held earlier this month and what a year they have had! We are proud of all of our Warrior and Lady Warrior athletes.

Our National Honor Society inducted their newest members this month in a small ceremony recognizing these students for their academic achievements this year.

We held our All School Awards Ceremony this past week and there were truly so many high achievers recognized for their efforts this year that our battery died from all the pictures we took! What a great night for our campus and our kids!

Teacher appreciation week was a success at BHS! Teachers were treated to a Fiesta all week! Thank you all for all you do!!! A big thanks goes out to our local vendors who helped support our efforts to show our appreciation!
