Unit 5 Week 1: See It, Sort It

Essential Question: How can we classify and categorize things?

Unit 5 Week 1 Student Outcomes:

  • Phonics/Spelling Skill- R Controlled Vowel ar (cart, barn, arm, art, yarn, harm)

  • Structural Analysis- Plurals (irregular)

  • High-Frequency Words- four, large, none, only, put, round

  • Vocabulary Words- distinguish, classify, organize, entire, startled, trouble, whole

  • Comprehension Skill- CIte relevant evidence from text. Acknowledge differences in point of view. Retell the text.

  • Grammar Skill- Use words that join sentences (ie. and, but, or).
