Please consider supporting our 6th Grade Sharks by purchasing your dinner at their Fall Carnival food booth. All proceeds raised lower the overall cost of this year's science camp for 6th graders! Chips and drinks will be available at 4:00, and pizza and sandwiches will be additionally available starting between 5 and 5:30 since our awesome parent volunteers will be fetching them to be as fresh as possible. Cash and Venmo will be accepted.

• 6" Sub Sandwiches, Chips & Drink - $10

Hello, Sierra Families!

I know our sharks are very excited for the Sierra PTC's Fall Carnival next Friday, October 28th! Thank you to our amazing PTC and all parent volunteers and donors in all the planning and preparation to make the event a success!

Please be aware of these two important items to ensure safety for everyone:

1. Child supervision is not provided at the carnival. This is not a "drop-off" event. Please plan to attend the carnival with your child or make sure to send them with a trusted adult.

2. Parking in parking spaces or parallel park on the street only. No parking in the fire lanes.

3. Costume rules:

• Masks fully covering the face may not be worn to the Fall Carnival. Facial recognition is extremely important in a crowded setting.

• Positive costumes are encouraged. Students can not wear costumes that are violent or gruesome (containing fake blood, gore, etc). This is not appropriate for the school environment and may frighten our smallest and youngest Sharks.

• Fake weapons such as guns, swords, or daggers may not be brought to school under any circumstances. If students have inappropriate costumes or props, they will be confiscated and will need to be picked up by a parent from school administration.

Beginning at 12:00 am Friday, November 4, 2022 to 11:59 pm on Thursday, November 10, 2022. You will have the opportunity to access the conference schedule of your child’s teacher and pick an available time that best fits your schedule.

Step-By-Step Parent/Guardian Instructions

1. Go to the Online Scheduler HERE.

2. Choose your student’s school from the drop-down list and click “GO.”

3. Enter the school password (sharks).

4. Enter your student’s “Student ID”. If you cannot remember their Student ID, use the LOOKUP STUDENT ID button to access the system.

5. Verify the student’s birth date.

6. A list of your student’s teachers will be displayed. Check the box next to the name of each teacher(s) you would like to meet with.

7. If you have more than one student in the school you can see all of your teacher’s schedules at one time by answering YES to this question “Do you want to schedule conferences for another student?” then repeat the steps above for your other students. If you only have one student, answer NO to that question.

8. You will then see the available time slots for each teacher you selected.

9. Select the times that work best for your schedule.

10. Enter your email address (recommended) if you would like an email reminder sent to you. (Your email address is kept private.)

11. Once you finish you can confirm your appointment details and print your conference schedule.

12. Write down the Confirmation Number (you will need this number to cancel your appointment).

To ensure compliance with RUSD and the state of California's volunteer policies, parents who wish to volunteer on campus during the school day must have:

RUSD Policy:

• Fingerprinting completed for RUSD specifically. Prior fingerprinting done for any agency or organization other than RUSD will not be accepted. Fingerprinting takes approximately 72 hours to clear.
• Current Tuberculosis Test (TB). TB tests expire every 4 years and must be renewed in order to volunteer. TB Tests take approximately 48-72 hours for results and results must be brought to the office.
