EXCLUSION DAY is coming! Roughly 7% of our students are not compliant, meaning we do not have up-to-date immunizations and/or we do not have a State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination form on file. Multiple letters have been sent home over the last month to students who are not compliant. If your student is a kindergartner or new to Illinois school districts, they are required to provide this imformation. If your student in not compliant they will be excluded from school after October 15th until proper documentation is provided per Illinois state law.

If you are running late, an adult must accompany the child into the school and sign him/her in. If you need to take your child out of school early you must leave school grounds by 3:00PM.

Due to staffing and safety concerns our office will only accept forgotten lunches or an item which is required per a 504 or IEP.

Wednesday, October 18th - Practice Lockdown Drill with AU PD

Per the School Safety Drill Act covered under Illinois Statute (105 ILCS 12/20), this notification is being provided to parents and guardians of students attending Nancy Young. On 10.3.2023 and on 10.18.23 we will conduct a lockdown drill that will include school staff, students, and Aurora law enforcement agency representative(s).

We understand that some parents/guardians may want to opt out of this type of drill for their child. As the parent/guardian of a student attending Nancy Young, you have the option to exempt your child, for any reason, from the drill. If you choose to exempt your child from the drill, please notify the main office at 630. 375.3800

Arrival: Doors open at 8:50. Bell rings at 9:05. Students should be in class and ready to learn at 9:05.

If you need to take your child out early, please email the teacher and contact the main office at (630) 375 - 3800 Note: Per district Policy - parents/guardians will not be allowed within the school building from 8:50 - 9:15 and from 3:15 - until after dismissal.
