Greetings!
As principal of A.W. Holloway Elementary School, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone to the 2022-2023 school year! This will be a SUPER year as we continue to engage our students with high-quality educational experiences to enhance their learning. As mighty eagles, we will take flight on this school year to "soar high and aim for success"! I am excited to continue building collaborative relationships with our students, parents and community partners as we diligently work together to prepare our students to be responsible college and career ready citizens.

Arrival
- Kindergarten and First Grade will enter through the front door underneath the breezeway.
- Second grade will enter through the end front door nearest Family Dollar.
- Third - Fifth Grades will enter through the front gate near the tree.

Late Registration Information!
- Registration will take place Thursday, August 4th at 10am. Please arrive on-time.

- New students must have a completed on-line registration and supporting documents: birth certificate, social security card, immunization card, and 2 proofs of address including: mortgage/lease, current utility bills, etc.
- Returning students must provide supporting documentation forms as needed.

Dismissal/Attendance
- All dismissal changes must be made in writing.
- No early dismissals given after 2:00pm.
- Students miss valuable instruction when they leave early or arrive late. It is imperative that students remain at school. When students leave before 11:30am, they are marked absent.
- A parent or doctor's note must be presented within 3 days of the absence. Only eight parent notes are permitted. After eight parent notes, the absences are marked as unexcused unless a doctor's note is presented.
- Dismissal times: Van Riders - 3:00pm, Cars - 3:05pm, Walkers - 3:10pm
