Nothing pressing to report on as we just had Meet the Teacher AND only two days this week! If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Those of you that did not make it, I will send home a brochure and look forward to meeting you in the future.

Below are the spirit week days for next week! Please encourage the participation for these days :). Also, Hopkins Sunday Funday is this weekend and will be held inside due to the weather forecast!

Students have a new week for both language calendar and spelling words. Please look over those with the kiddos! :)

Math: Chapter 1 - Place Value

Reading: We will continuing learning the reading workshop routine and finish reading Shiloh.

Writing: We will begin spelling this week. Students will be working on spelling list week of 9/10.

Science/Social Studies: Scientific method and moving onto ecosystems. Latitude and Longitude and geography.

**We are continuing our team building and development of classroom community.

Students will not eat lunch until 12:25. Therefore, students may bring in a daily start to be eaten after related arts. Due to food allergies, I ask that all students bring in a fresh fruit or vegetable for a snack. I appreciate your attention to this matter.

Hello! I am a 5th grade teacher at Hopkins Elementary. I enjoy spending time with my little family in Hiram, Ohio. I have three children: Ricky (7), Nora (4), and Sean (3). I love my church, road tripping, everything Disney, and creating memories. I have been at Hopkins for 10 years now between 4th and 5th grade. We are going to have a great year!
