3rd Grade Science with Mrs. Fields
Hello 3rd Grade Scientists!
Last week: We started our unit on force and motion! You all did a great job on your GoFormative quiz! If you missed it, here is the link:
goformative.com/join
Passcode: DDMPCW
Learning Points to Remember: Every motion is caused by a force and every motion is stopped by a force. Some forces we learned about were friction and gravity. Friction is the force that pushes against something slowing it down. Gravity is the force that pulls objects together.
Next week: We will study a Scientist named Isaac Newton who studied many of the forces we learn about today.
Announcement: There will be no classes on Tuesday due to STAAR testing. Our Science class has been moved to Friday. Please look at your schedule next week to see the time you will be attending.
Extra Credit: Some students asked if they could do the solar system project for extra credit. You are cleared for take off! If you create a model of the solar system in which the planets are in the correct order next to the sun I will add a 5 point grade as extra credit. This is an OPTIONAL activity! Email me pictures of your project or upload them into the OLS.
I will accept this project at any point throughout the remainder of the year.
