Do you Gale?

How many times have you heard the words "I'm just going to Google it"? Google is a great tool for finding information, but did you know that there is a better way? It's called GALE Research Databases. Students can find scholarly books, magazine articles, pictures and current news stories about any topic or subject. By using our GALE databases, students don't have to worry about source authenticity or plagiarism. All of the sources in GALE are verified and grade level appropriate. Furthermore, the GALE databases come with a built in immersive reader so that students can listen to the text, get a generated citation, and highlight text and take notes. You can also save the source directly to your OneDrive from within the database. You can find the GALE databases on your librarian's website. Classroom Screen

Did you ever wish that useful tools such as a stopwatch, whiteboard, or random name picker could all be bundled up neatly in one place? This has become a reality with classroomscreen.com. This site is free to use, and you don't even have to sign up for anything. Just go to www.classroomscreen.com when you first login in the morning. You can set your background image, leave a note for your students, and open as many of the apps that you might need for that day. You can even set your microphone up as a noise meter so that it can regulate the noise level in your room. How cool is that?!
