Cloverbud Summer Camp is a shorter version of regular summer camp. This camp is open to youth ages 6-8(or have not completed 3rd grade)

WE MUST HAVE 1 MALE ADULT and 1 FEMALE ADULT ATTEND or our campers cannot attend!!

We will travel to Frankfort to meet with our elected officials, sit in on Ag policy meeting, and to dive into how our government works.

Public is speaking is a life skill all youth should learn. We will be hosting our annual contest on Thursday March 9th.

Natural Resources Science Academy is open for current 5th graders to apply. This is a 3 year program and will begin in September 2023. If interested please complete the application and submit to Susan by April 28th.

Explore dog care, health, training, and much more!

• Learn about dog breeds, anatomy, and conformation.
• Practice grooming, training, and showing.
• Demonstrate responsible dog ownership.
• Participate in 4-H Camp Canine.
• Learn about dog-related careers and service opportunities

Dog Club Meets the 1st Thursday and 3rd Monday of each month at 6:00 PM

Just like the 4-H program for older youth, the purpose of the 4-H Cloverbuds is to help young children learn life skills to become competent, caring and contributing citizens. Specifically, Cloverbuds are youth who are 5-8 years old.

Numbers are limited. We are currently at capacity. We are more than happy to add you to the waiting list if a spot opens up.

Cloverkids is designed to be an extension of our Cloverbud program. This club would be for youth 9years old-5th grade.

4-H offers projects in food preparation, food preservation, and nutrition. • Learn food preparation and food safety skills that you can use for a lifetime. • Discover the health benefits of eating a variety of nutritious foods, using My Plate as a meal planning guide. • Discover where foods come from. Kentucky produces a wealth of fine foods.

Livestock club members are engaged in a variety of hands-on activities and experiences that cultivate an increased understanding and appreciation for agriculture. Projects and activities are offered in the areas of beef cattle, sheep, swine, goats, dairy, and food science.

We are excited to have new leaders on board to offer hands on livestock and agriculture lessons and activities.

Livestock Club meets the 2nd Thursday at 6:00PM

Middle School club is open to youth in 6th-8th grades. This program is designed to develop leadership, citizenship, and communication skills.

Important Dates

Teen Summit- March 16th-18th

• Learn about proper firearm safety and marksmanship

• Learn about all six disciplines offered through the program including archery, rifle, pistol, shotgun, black powder, and hunter challenge.

• Participate in the State Shooting Sports Competition

Meeting Dates:

March 6th @Anderson County Extension office(DOWNSTAIRS ROOM) 6:00 PM

Practice will begin in April on the range at the Anderson County Sportsmans Club on Monday Nights. Range practices will end the 1st of September.

There are many dynamic opportunities for teen’s to become involved in 4-H projects and activities on the local, district and state level. 4-H offers a variety of opportunities for teens to develop life skills that they will need throughout their life. Teen club is for youth that are in 9th-12th grade.
