Elementary Band hosts concert
The short selections were enthusiastically received by friends and family. The teachers noted that they see the elementary band students twice a week as 5th graders, but next year at Miller Junior High School, if they stick with it, they will have band class every day and their skills will improve exponentially.
Pictured above are students from A.J. West and Stevens elementary schools. Students from Central Park, McDermoth and Robert Gray also performed.
Watch for the All City Band and Orchestra Concert later this spring, currently scheduled for April 27, when these beginning musicians will combine into one big band and all play together for the first time.
