Message from Mrs. Phelan
Dear Lowell,
Happy Friday! MCAS ELA and Math testing is complete for grades 3-5 with the exception of a few make-up tests for students who were absent on the actual MCAS testing date. Fifth grade has the Science and Technology MCAS to complete this week. The students worked extremely hard and took their time to do their very best. We are super proud of them!
We have lots of fun events planned by classroom and grade. Keep posted by reading your student's classroom newsletters.
With Gratitude,
Stacy

Must be comfortable communicating effectively with school children, parents and drivers and ensure that children cross the street properly and safely.
Must be available to work Monday through Friday, during the school year. Shifts are approximately one hour and there are two shifts per day.
For more information about how to become a crossing guard please contact Sergeant David Sampson at

Lowell's Got Talent
Lowell students in grades 3, 4, & 5 have asked to host a student talent show on the last day of school. We want to end the year celebrating and showcasing students individual or collective talent. Please read and fill out the form if you are interested in performing. We sent home paper copies with students today.
Getting Ready for Pride Month
A Message from Watertown Pride Month Representative
Dear Lowell Community,
Watertown Pride Extravaganza is coming up soon. I hope the students/children in your life feel welcome to attend this affirming event which will happen on Saturday, June 3rd. Here is a link to the site:
https://www.watertownlib.org/676/Watertown-Pride
I also wanted you to know about an event that will be a precursor to the Extravaganza, Design Your Pride Gear on Thursday, May 25, 5-8 pm at the Watertown Free Public Library. We will have many crafting opportunities for all ages: flag decorating, sign making, social justice jewelry making, bedazzling hats and t-shirts, and a lot more. There is no registration, and all supplies and instruction are free.
I have attached a flyer for you to post/distribute to those who may be interested. Families and student groups are more than welcome to come!
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Carey
