The district calendar committee has begun work on the 2022-23 school calendar and we are interested in gathering input from our families. Thank you in advance for making time to complete this BRIEF SURVEY. Results from the survey will be one of many factors taken into consideration by the team. We anticipate a final calendar being brought forward to the School Board in December, which will then be shared with families once approved.

At Mill Valley, we think of discipline as guiding students and changing behaviors rather than punishing them. Our teachers provide individualized attention and clearly defined rules and expectations for students’ behavior in relation to self, to others and to the environment. When individual behavior problems occur that disrupt the learning environment for that child, for other students or interfere with teaching, we have specific procedures to follow. All discipline issues are handled on an individual basis. Since there is no one prescription for handling all discipline issues, some of the procedures may differ depending on the situation. Thank you for all of your support in guiding all students toward “win-win” solutions to their problems.

Tuesday, October 12th is picture re-take day.

• If your child has not had a picture taken already, their picture will be taken on that day and ordering information will be sent home with them.
• If your child had their picture taken on Welcome Back Night, but a retake is needed, please let your teacher know so your child can be sent for pictures. Please return the original picture package to the photographer at the time of pictures. The same package will be ordered with the new image. New packages will not be received unless the original package is returned.

Our Pumpkinpalooza Dance will be on October 22nd, 5:30-8:30pm. in the Mill Valley Gym. We look forward to seeing all of our MV students & families dressed in their awesome costumes or Halloween attire. Get ready for a fun night of dancing, playing games, eating pizza, candy and snacks with friends. We are so excited to get our MV community back together for a SPOOKTACULAR time!
