Bath Tech is pleased to welcome Paula Callan, our new interim director, to the district. Paula will be joining us for the rest of the school year, and comes with lots of experience in administrative and educator roles. Most recently, Ms. Callan served as Messalonskee High School’s principal, where she earned the title of 2022 Principal of the Year through the Maine Principal’s Association. Over the past week, Ms. Callan has been getting acclimated with the school, meeting students and getting to know instructors, and observing classes. Paula is actually a Bath native, and served as Assistant Principal at Morse High School for a short time before her tenure at Messalonskee. We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Ms. Callan in RSU1 once again!

Our medical terminology students visited the BIW fire/rescue department on Tuesday. They learned the difference between the town municipal ambulance and BIW's fire/rescue. They heard about the different tasks the department needs to complete and even toured the new ambulance. Our medical science students tried out the blood pressure and pulse monitor on Ms. Stone and Mrs. Beauregard to see if they were still alive...thankfully they were!
