Subject Highlights:
MFL:
Mrs Gonzalez-Villamil Lean has nominated Ella C in Year 10 for her absolute focus and inquisitive mind in Spanish. A real joy !
Maths:
Mrs Arnold has nominated Year 11 students Jack B and Rachel for a consistently high standard of work in Year 11 maths intervention. Also nominated are Katie Gibbons and Nela Mazurek for working really hard in session 6 Maths.
Mr Jackson has nominated Year 12 student Danils for excellent effort in class and working independently in his own time and Year 13 student Jack who is very motivated, working outside the lesson and looking ahead on the text book.
Mrs Wynn has nominated Year 9 student Nick for excellent effort and results in recent find the gap test and Year 7 student Rylee for great participation and effort in Maths.
Miss Kaur has nominated Year 10 student Alfie C for his participation in lessons and Year 7 students Rylan W, Jessica and Alan for their brilliant attitude in Maths.
Humanities:
Miss Gilbert has made the following nominations this week:
Daisy R and Kenzie (7TA) for their continued hard work throughout Geography, showing great knowledge regarding weather and climate.
Also nominated are Oliwia G, Lubo, and Olivia C (8TU) for their continued effort and dedication to both Geography and History this term! Well done 😊. Rene, Weronika, and Scarlett (9CA) for their hard work in both the geography and history knowledge checks at the end of the topic. Keep it up!
Finally, well done to 10C for completing the topic of rivers. A special mention to Seth, Yunus and Dominiks for their annotated drawings and Joel and Armaan for their verbal contribution to the lessons.
Mr Hallas would like to nominate 7ST and 7CO for their excellent note taking whilst watching David Attenborough’s thought provoking documentary – Climate Change: The Facts.
Engineering:
Mr Harley would like to say well done to Year 11 student Daria for the excellent progress on making her steel metal tool box for the practical engineering synoptic project.
Science:
Scientists of the Week are:
Year 7 student McKenzie for his excellent effort in the Find the Gap assessment this week.
Year 8 student Sophie G for excellent effort consistently in Science.
Year 9 student Greta for great effort in the waves topic.
Year 10 student Jana for excellent work during our concentration practical lesson.
Year 11student Klaudia for her hard work and resilience on the concentration questions in science this week.
Year 13 student Macauley for thinking ahead in his Applied Science Coursework and getting he titration method written up.
English:
Mrs Brown has nominated the Year 10 media studies students who have been working creatively to build a new front page to a magazine. Mrs Brown has been blown away by their sense of style and their ability to try out new programs like Photoshop. Special mentions to Eva W, Faizah, Devandre, Shammah, Cameron, Harley and Alicia who all designed an artefact that was very credible.
PE:
Mr Rogers has made the following nominations this week:
Year 11 students Neave, Abigail and Alfie for their excellent work in Sport Science. Year 8 students Joel, Logan R and Finley R for their excellent work in Football this week, Year 7 students Archie M, Darius and TJ for their excellent teamwork in PE and Year 10 students
Dylan C and C-Jay for their great work in PE.

Mrs Wright would like to nominate the following students who recently won the Fairhurst Shield Shooting Competition, with a fantastic score of 366, Rhys B, Xavier J, Maximillian, Shay D, Szymon S and Oliver J.
