Family Update

Good afternoon Parsons Families,

A HUGE thank you goes out to our PTO and families for sponsoring two great events. Our first, was the FUN RUN on October 20th. It was a great event for our students and the snow made it extra memorable. Thanks to all of our generous families and sponsors, we were able to raise over $21,000 that will be used to support our students and school.

The second awesome event was our annual Trunk or Treat on October 25th. We had an amazing turnout from the school community and had some really great trunks too. We danced, passed out and collected candy, had doughnuts and cider, and in general just had a blast. We couldn't do these great events without our PTO and your support. THANK YOU!!

Halloween Parade:

Our Halloween celebrations and parade will be on Monday, Oct. 31. Our parade will start at approximately 1:30PM and follow the normal parade route down Fryer to Stoeflet to Young to Navarre and back to Fryer. We hope to see you lining the streets to check out our awesome student and staff costumes!

Volunteers:

If you have signed up to volunteer for the classroom party this day, you will need to have a volunteer release form on file at the school. These must be filled out prior to the 31st.

Costume guidelines:

• Optional - Students are not required to dress up. This is optional.
• Costumes must not reflect violence or include inappropriate "props" such as blood, plastic swords, guns, knives, or weapons of any kind, even if they are a part of the costume.
• No costume masks or costume face coverings will be allowed at school as our students must be easily identifiable at all times.
• Students can wear costume makeup to school.

We are so excited to welcome Mrs. Aherne to Parsons Elementary as the new principal. She will be joining us on November 3rd and would love the opportunity to meet you. We will be hosting a "Coffee with the Principal" at 8AM in the gym. Stop on by and say hello!

Picture retake day will be November 9th. If you missed picture day, please mark this on your calendar and wear those smiles!

October 31:Classroom Halloween parties and student parade (1:30PM)led by the CHS Marching Marauders

November 3: Coffee with Mrs. Aherne @ 8AM in the gym.

November 4: 1/2 day for students. Dismissal is at 11:50 for Y5-2nd grades and 11:55 for 3rd-5th grades.

November 8: No school for students

November 9: PTO Meeting @ 6PM

November 24 & 25: Thanksgiving Break

December 7: 1/2 day for students

December 12: Parsons Music Concert 6-8PM in the Carlson Auditorium
