Main Office Secretary...Mrs. Marcy Dakss
My name is Marcy Dakss and I recently joined Torey J. Sabatini School as Secretary to the Principal. I started my career in technology sales working for companies like Oracle while living in New York City and Boston. After a brief period when I lived in London with my fiance (now husband of 20 years), I worked in technology recruiting before leaving the workforce to raise our three children full-time. We moved from Los Angeles to Livingston, NJ where I served as PTA co-president at our elementary school as well as volunteered for our Neighbors Helping Neighbors initiative and the Newark food pantry.
I was excited to return to the workforce as a Substitute Secretary in Livingston and also worked for the District Office overseeing district-wide correspondence regarding COVID-19. When I'm not busy with my three teenage children and our crazy dog Charlie, I love photography, traveling with my family, hanging out with my husband, and solving Wordle.
Third Grade Teacher...Ms. Nicole Cancelliere
My name is Ms. Nicole Cancelliere and this is my second year teaching 3rd grade at Torey J. Before coming to TJS, I graduated from The College of New Jersey and taught 4th grade for a few years. I just love being a teacher! My favorite thing about my job is building strong relationships with my students and helping them grow both academically and socially.
Aside from teaching, some of my hobbies include: reading, exercising, playing tennis, volleyball, field hockey, and playing board games with my family and friends! I also love to travel and experience new cultures. A fun fact about me is that I've never had coffee!
I grew up in Warren County, NJ, and recently moved to Morristown to be closer to our school. I feel so thankful to be a part of the TJS community and look forward to meeting more of you throughout the coming years!
