Hello Walsh Families!

There are 51 days until Spring and we cannot wait for the later sunset and warmer days! With that being said, it is still Winter! Please assure you are dressing your child for the cold weather, as we go out to recess if the temperature and/or wind chill is 20 degrees or above.

If you would like your child's pictures retaken, you MUST RETURN ALL of the pictures you received.

Any students who were absent on picture day will be photographed.

If you would like to order pictures because your child was not photographed, please fill out the Lifetouch envelope and enclose exact change. The office and photographers are unable to make change.

Money Orders or Checks should be made out to "Lifetouch".

Forms will be sent home on February 7th with students who were not photographed.

Student Responsibilities for E-Learning Days:

* Teachers will post assignments to Seesaw by 8:30 AM if school is cancelled

* Student should be able to complete the work on their own without assistance from a parent

* Teachers will have set office hours that will be communicated to parents on Seesaw.

* Students have until the day AFTER they return from an eLearning day to submit assignments. Assignments can be turned in via Seesaw

Throughout the month of February, students will focus on their grade level social-emotional learning priority standards and “I can” statements. The priority standards are focused on POSITIVE interactions, STRENGTHS, and understanding how others FEEL!

Positive Things to Say to Your Child

1. You don’t have to be perfect to be amazing.
2. You are worth it.
3. Don’t be afraid to be yourself.

Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather with warm coats, snow pants, hats, gloves and boots. Children go outside for recess 2 times a day for fresh air, frequent breaks and exercise.

The district cold weather policy is as follows:

• Wind chill and/or temperature 20 degrees or above = regular outdoor recess

Please be aware that children need a doctor's note to stay in for recess.

Students WILL be charged fees for damage/loss of technology items.

Fees are:

• Device Sleeve/cover - $10
• Charger - $25
• Touch Screen - $115
• Device - $250/new device; $200/2 years old; $150/3 years old; $100/4 years old (new devices are provided to 1st and 5th grades every year
