
Shifting to Canvas: A Weekly Update

Select the videos to begin your professional learning experience.
The HCPS Canvas Professional Learning (PL) session for April 19 is now OPEN!
To access professional learning content for this morning:
1. Navigate to Canvas or use the Canvas tile on start.hcps.org.
3. Select April 19 Professional Learning: Begin required Modules to start the experience.
As a reminder, all HCPS instructional staff and education support professionals, including building administrators, instructionally-related Central Office administrators, teachers, counselors, social workers, psychologists, and related service providers, must complete the three-hour, asynchronous Canvas professional development session on April 19, 2022, 8:00-11:00 a.m.
As instructional staff work through the required three hour experience, in-person and virtual support will be available.
The April 19 training is designed to take three hours to complete. If you feel it will take you longer, or if you are not able to keep up with the time checks found in the session, we suggest you visit virtual or in-person Office Hours as advertised in the Shifting to Canvas newsletter.
In-Person Support
Staff who feel they need more support in completing the asynchronous session can visit ANY of the following school libraries where teacher leaders will be available to assist:
- Aberdeen High
- Bel Air High
- C. Milton Wright High
- Edgewood High
- Fallston High
- Havre de Grace High
- North Harford High
- Patterson Mill High
Virtual Support
Virtual support will be available between 8:00-11:00 a.m. via the following Teams link:
