Happy Summer Break! I will be sending newsletters during the summer, however, they will be less frequent. I hope we can all stay in touch and I am proud of all of us for making it through the year!

Important Announcements for Families & Students

  • If you got your first dose of the Covid-19 Vaccine at STEM, don't forget to come back for your second dose this Friday, the 18th from 11AM to 7PM!

Not Getting Phone and Text Notifications?

Parents and employees can choose to Opt back into receiving Outreach (general) messages by calling (855) 502-7867 for any phone number that was previously Opted-Out.


You can also sign up for Parent Portal and get notifications on the Schoology App!

Summer School Information

  • Enroll with Dr. Kavner or Ms. Ramirez if you need to make up a class you failed
  • It starts 6/22 and ends 7/23
  • The daily schedule is:

Period 1 8:30-11:10

Lunch 11:10-11:40

Period 2 11:40-2:20

  • Zoom links and schedules will be posted on Schoology the day before classes begin
  • If the student chose to take the course in person, they must be physically in class by 8:30 for period 1and by 11:40 for period 2.
  • If you miss the first day of class, you will be dropped from the course.
  • If you are enrolled in periods 3 or 4, these are Edgenuity courses and directions will be emailed to you. Check your LAUSD email for instructions regarding how to access the course. Edgenuity courses will become available on 6/22 and not before then.

News for Teachers

Announcements & Reminders for Teachers & Staff

  • Summer Institute begins Monday at 9 AM and goes till Wednesday.
  • We have a lunch-in celebration this Wednesday in the outdoor student cafeteria area at noon.
  • Don't forget to complete your year-end check out process & paperwork with Veronica by Wednesday 4 PM.
  • Please continue to get a Daily Pass if you plan on being on campus.
  • The Hybrid classroom kits will be set-up Monday in each classroom. Please secure all equipment before you leave for the summer.
  • If you need a Covid-19 test, the Mobile team will be on campus Thursday and Friday from 9 AM to 2:30 PM.
  • Teachers should make a million dollars!
