Hello Primary Pups!
Our little leprechauns were full of St. Patrick's Day spirit this week! They spent the week making rainbows and pots of gold. They built lots of leprechaun traps to try to catch the mischievous little sprite, but to no avail. Although we were definitely paid a visit, we weren't able to catch him! The kids really enjoyed seeing his foot prints, mischief and gold coins all left in his path. We ended the week making and tasting Shamrock Shakes, a delicious Wall Primary tradition!
Next week is another busy week. We will continue to focus on healthy habits! We have Mr. Scott coming to lead us in singing and dancing on Thursday, and we will be participating in the recognition of World Down's Syndrome Day on 3/21 by "Rocking our Socks." March 21st is symbolic because people with Down Syndrome have 3 copies of the their 21st chromosome. The socks represent the extra chromosome because under a microscope they look like mismatched socks! We hope our students join us in "Rocking Our Socks" on Tuesday, 3/21.
Our virtual PTA meeting this week was very productive. If you are planning to order candy from the JB Couture sale, please be sure to send your order form and $ back to school by 3/28. Be on the look out for emails from your PTA presidents if you're interested in volunteering or making donations for future events. We are so grateful to our parents who have been so generous with their time and treats!
Finally, a very special thank you to our magnificent teachers and students for their work on our Board of Education Spotlight Video. Every month one of our schools is asked share something special that's going on that month. We chose to highlight the wonderful activities of February's Friendship Month. If you haven't had a chance to view the video, check it out! Our Primary Pups stole the show! It was certainly a happy highlight of the March BOE meeting!
Have a wonderful weekend!
