The NHFS community thanks all who have served our nation in the armed forces to protect our nation in times of war and peace. In this era where it sometimes seems that many Americans can't agree on much, we can all agree that it is important to recognize those that put differences aside to serve the whole country and all of its citizens.
Economic Systems Monooply!
Intro to Business class played Economic Systems Monopoly this week with additional rules based on the economic system that they were representing and had to play by those rules and then determine what system they were (Capitalist, Socialist or Communist).
Rowing in English Class!
A couple of weeks ago the Sports and Outdoor Literaure class visited GMS Rowing- The trip included an intro to rowing including language, workout processes and rowing mechanics. The 20 boys did a good job ! They worked together to carry a 250lb wooden training boat, open the rigs, and secure the oars. While in the boat they learned how to square and feather the blade on the water. The students then began to read the award winning book, The Boys in the Boat in class.
