River Rafter News
A weekly newsletter to keep Twain families informed.

Principal's Message
Dear Twain Families,
It’s a great time to be a River Rafter! I wanted to briefly highlight some activities that are going on at Twain elementary. Our kindergarten students have been paired off with an upper grade level student who serves as their "big buddy" for the school year. Teachers find common times to connect the students for paired reading and other fun activities. Additionally, many of our 5th graders are running for Twain’s Student Council. The student candidates give speeches and all River Rafters have the opportunity to vote this coming week during elections. As a school we want to provide our students with leadership opportunities and promote civic mindedness.
I would like to congratulate Ms. Wong and Ms. Kehl’s classes for being Twain’s Bucket Fillers class winners for this week. Way to go!
