This weekend we will host the spring talent show! The event is at 6:00 pm April 13, in the MS/HS Auditorium and is free family friendly fun! Come out and support our talented students!

We are quickly approaching our annual mattress fundraiser! This fundraiser is so easy because it's all about just spreading the word. April 15 will kick-off the fundraiser when our rep from CFS will come and present the information to all music students.

Tuesday April 16th at 6:30 in the Auditorium we will host a parent meeting where CFS will present the fundraiser to parents and explain all of the benefits and rewards to our program. If we have 100 parents in attendance at that meeting, the music department will automatically receive a donation of $500!! So please make a point to be there! Immediately following the mattress meeting will be the monthly Music Booster meeting and we would love for parents to stick around and participate in that if possible!

Saturday April 27 will be the actual mattress fundraiser in the HS Gym.

On Sunday May 5 we will once again host our annual Music and Arts Festival in the HS gymnasium and cafeteria.

All music performance ensembles grades 4-12 will be participating. We will give a detailed schedule of call/anticipated performance times in the next week.

Come out and enjoy a lovely evening of a varied repertoire of music from all of our wonderful performers!

March was an incredibly busy, but fruitful month in the music department! We had a WONDERFUL Choral Cantata that I've received fantastic feedback about! It was so rewarding to see the culmination of all of the choirs coming together and performing! I was so pleased with how it turned out.

Also in March we hosted OMEA Large Group competition. A HUGE thank you to all of the students and parents who made that event flow so seamlessly. As always the schools who participated were so complimentary of our facilities and friendly and helpful students.

March finished up with the HS Band and Choir performance trip to Washington D.C. This was such a spectacular trip! It was by far my favorite one that we've done. I thought that the students learned a lot from the experience and got to participate in some incredible honors including laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers and performing on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial. Everyone was so courteous and were troopers even when we had to endure some not great weather. I was so proud of all of them.
