Dear ECC Families and Community,

The end of the school year is drawing closer. Our last day of school is Friday, May 28th! Our schedule will be different on 5/28:

• Full day classes will release at 2:55 p.m.
• Half day morning classes will have a normal schedule, releasing at 11:50 a.m.
• Half day afternoon classes will NOT meet (last day of school will be May 27th for 5 day classes and May 26th for 3 day classes )
• Child care will have normal hours, 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Do you have a family member, friend or neighbor interested in enrolling for preschool next school year? Please encourage them to contact ECC for enrollment information. Our full day classes and before/after school child care fill quickly, so don't miss the opportunity to experience everything ECC has to offer!

May 3- May 7 is Teacher Appreciation Week. We are thankful for the dedicated, hardworking staff at ECC! Thank you for the love and care you give children each day.

ECC registration for the 2021-2022 school year is OPEN! The office is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for new enrollment and returning student registration. If you have a child attending ECC now, you may request a packet be sent home with your child. If you have questions or need help, you may contact Mary Crabtree in the front office, 317-869-4751.

On My Way Pre-K is excited to announce that enrollment will begin on May 3, 2021. If you know a family with a four-year old that would benefit from a high-quality pre-K program, please share this information or encourage them to apply online.​​

• What is On My Way Pre-K? On My Way Pre-K is a program that awards grants to four-year-olds from low-income families so that they may have access to a high-quality pre-K program the year before they begin kindergarten. ​
• Where are OMWPK Facilities Located? Families who receive a grant may use the grant at any approved On My Way Pre-K program. Use Child Care Finder to locate a program near you!​

ECC's last day of school is Friday May 28, 2021. We will follow Warren's schedule for early release that day. Here is information regarding how the release time will impact classes:

• MSD of Warren Township will continue to offer a virtual learning option for the 2021-2022 school year. Enrollment in the 2021-2022 K-8 Virtual / 9-12 Online Learning Program is limited to a select number of students, and an application is required. Families who wish to participate are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Illness Reporting

We continue to have several absences due to upper respiratory symptoms at ECC. If your child has any symptom(s) of any illness, including cold symptoms, we ask that you keep your child home from school and report their absence and the symptom(s) they are having to their teacher. Nurse Roz will then follow up with you regarding ECC guidelines for returning to school. If you are keeping your child home for other reasons please report that to their teacher as well. Thank You!

It is requested that each child come to school with a full change of clothing, including underwear and socks, in their backpack. Is your child's change of clothing appropriate for the changing seasons? Please make sure you have replaced winter clothes with lighter clothing. We appreciate your assistance.

Session Times for the 20-21 school year are as follows:

Half Day Morning 8:50 to 11:50 a.m.

Half Day Afternoon 12:55 to 3:55 p.m.

Full Day 9:20 to 3:20 p.m.

Child Care 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

If you arrive after the car line has concluded, you will need to park your car and check your child in with the front office.

AM Half Day- Car line closes at 9:00 a.m.

PM Half Day- Car line closes at 1:00 p.m.

Full Day- All car lines, Orange, Pink & Yellow, close at 9:30 a.m.

Thank you for having your car sign displayed for dismissal. It's makes the car line move much quicker. Don't forget to have your ID ready to present to staff when asked.
