The Brandon Artists Guild is presenting the RNESU Student Art Show
The show will be displaying wonderful student artwork from all the schools in the district: Lothrop, Otter Creek Academy, Neshobe, Barstow and Otter Valley.
The show runs from February 3rd-February 26th. The Brandon Artist Guild is on 7 Center Street in Brandon, VT. Students can enter a raffle at the gallery to win art supplies.
Go and check it out if you’ve got some time. It is an opportunity to view our students' work in a fun and unique gallery space. We hope you can make the trip!
High Moweing Seeds Fundraiser
Hello Lothrop Families,
Grades ⅚ are fundraising for a trip to Boston at the end of this year. We are sending this High Mowing Organic Seed order form home to all grades as they have been requested by families in all age groups. Please do not feel obligated to participate but we would love it if you do! Please make any checks out to: LOTHROP SCHOOL and the deadline for orders is February 15. The Otter Valley Unified Union School District has the following openings for the Office of School Board of Director* for the coming election in March 2023:
Goshen-1 year remaining of a 3 year term
Pittsford – 2 years remaining of a 3 year term.
At-Large – 2 Seats (Candidates can be from any of the OVUUSD towns: Brandon; Goshen; Leicester; Pittsford Sudbury; and Whiting)
The Barstow Unified Union School District has the following opening for the Office of School Board of Director* for the coming election in March 2023:
At-Large (Candidates can be from either BUUSD town.)
*All seats are three year terms unless otherwise noted.
Petitions are available at the links provided above, at your Town Clerk’s Office, and the Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union Central Office at 49 Court Drive in Brandon. Requests for petitions can also be made by calling the RNESU Central Office at (802) 247-5757.
Completed petitions, along with a signed Consent of Candidate Form, are due to your Town Clerk by Monday, January 30, 2023. Petitions for town specific seats require signatures of the lesser of 1% of registered voters or 30 signatures. Petitions for at-large seats require the signature of 60 registered voters.

Lip Sync Battle
The PTO will be sponsoring a lip sync battle on March 3rd. Students will be required to prepare a 90 second act. A sign-up form will be available soon for students to fill out so songs can be screened for approval.
PTO Golf Tournament
The PTO will be holding a golf tournament to raise funds for the school. They are looking for businesses and families to sponsor holes on the course. If you are interested in sponsoring or finding sponsors, please contact lothroppto@rnesu.org.
Hannaford Helps Schools
