Reminders from the Office
Lost & Found
There is a lost and found table located in the elementary entrance hallway. It’s starting to fill up, so encourage your student to check for anything they may have lost or misplaced.
Indoor Shoes
Please ensure that your student has a pair of indoor shoes at school. These shoes DO NOT need to be a new pair of shoes, just a pair that is only worn inside for physical education and indoor recess days.
School Notifications
If you haven’t received a school notification yet this year, please contact the elementary office by email or phone to update your contact information. This will be particularly relevant as the winter season approaches.

Report Card Chages
Dear Parents and Guardians of K-5 Students,
In striving to provide a rigorous, student centered and engaging learning experience for every student, the district has revised the manner in which we report on student progress. To that end, the district has adopted a new, more rigorous set of standards for what every child should know and be able to do in each subject area and grade level and has adopted a new reporting format.
Our newly adopted Standards Based Report Card (SBRC) describes what a student should know and be able to do at the end of each grade level in Reading, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Music, and Physical Education. We firmly believe that the SBRC is a significantly more effective tool for communicating student growth within the grade level learning standards.
There will be a small transition time where we will be using old methods and new methods to
communicate student growth. Please be aware that this transition may have a few bumps in the beginning, but we are excited to roll out the new reporting process.
Teachers will be going over the new report cards during conferences. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.
