Blood Drive a Success!
We had all 40 time slots filled! There were 26 first time donors and 32 donors successfully donated. Vitalant tells us that 105 lives will be saved because of our blood drive. Way to go Palouse Prairie! It’s a two step process to receive the grant from Vitalant - we’ll be hosting another blood drive in April. We hope that our PPCS families will show up again in force for the next one! Thank you to PPCS parent Donna Albaitero for bringing the Vitalant Blood Drive fundraiser to our attention. If you know of grants or fundraising opportunities, we appreciate hearing about them.
Tax Receipts in the Mail
End of year tax receipt letters were mailed on Friday. If you do not receive a thank you or tax receipt letter for a donation, please email the office@palouseprairieschool.org. We want to be sure that you receive recognition for your donation. All donations of time and energy and funds are truly appreciated!
Family Volunteer Log
Non-cash and in-kind donations are more difficult for us to track than monetary donations. However, we know that it has taken blood, sweat and tears to get where we are today, as well dollars. If you donate your time and energy, whether it is serving on a committee, working at an event, or chaperoning fieldwork or adventure, we appreciate your filling out the Family Volunteer Log on the sign in table in the front hall. Know that your contributions are greatly appreciated, whether you receive a formal letter, a kind word, or a hug.
Vision Screening Friday, No Community Circle
Dr. Polito from Alpine Vision Center will be at Palouse Prairie on Friday, February 7 volunteering her services to do vision screening for our students. Please feel free to contact the office if you have any questions. Unfortunately we are unable to provide makeup screening for any students who are absent that day. If you see Dr. Polito or use Alpine Vision Center as your eye care provider, please give them a heartfelt thank you!
