Hello from Dr. Skaggs
Winter Weather is Upon Us
With winter weather comes decisions regarding closures and delays. As we navigate through the decisions that winter weather brings, the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and parents are at the forefront. The decision to delay or cancel school is never taken lightly. Once we are made aware of impending weather myself and our Transportation Supervisor, Lowell Perkins, begin checking roads. This typically begins around 4 a.m. so that we have ample time to notify our bus drivers and parents. In addition, we are in constant contact with all other county school superintendents and transportation supervisors as many of our districts border one another. Once the decision is made to delay or cancel we contact all media outlets and put out an all call to parents and staff.
