Students had a fun STEM Club as they made paper airplanes! Students had to determine which design to use to build the best plane? Students received many QR codes to find the plane that they wanted to build. Once finished with building, students had the opportunity to see how their airplanes would fly outside. In this aerodynamics science project, students changed the basic design of a paper plane to see how it would affect its flight. Students were then given paper clips to see how this addition would affect the flight. Specifically, they figured out how to increase the drag the plane experiences and see if this changed how far the paper plane flew. There is a lot of cool science in this project, such as how the different forces allow a plane to fly, so get ready to start folding! You can join in on the fun too! All you need is one sheet of paper, and it can lead to a whole lot of FUN! Check out the QR codes to see some different airplane ideas!

Pretzel Order forms went home last week. All orders are due by Thursday, November 30th.

Chromebooks

• Please be sure to send your child back to school with their district-issued Chromebook and charger if they took it home for the summer.
• If your child turned in their Chromebook at the end of the year, they will be distributed within the first few days of school.
• If your child is in kindergarten or new to the district, laptops will be distributed within the first weeks of school.
• Technology Insurance Fees (TIF) can be made via RevTrak on the school district’s website: https://coatesvillearea.revtrak.net/casd-technology/.
• Should you have any technology concerns please contact our Technology Department at ithelpdesk@casdschools.org.

The district is continuing our contract with A Child’s Place as our before and after care provider. Please see the attached flyer below for information about rates and how to enroll your child. We are happy to announce that we will have both before and after care at East Fallowfield this year!
