CVHS HOMECOMING DANCE: Homecoming Update: Head's up, Falcons! Homecoming will be here soon. Tickets are on sale now in the student store - $45 with an ASB card and $60 without. Beginning this year, all CV students must turn in a signed Behavior Agreement in order to purchase a ticket to any event. Copies are available in the student store and in the ASB office - Room 1102. Homecoming Theme will be revealed on Friday at snack. Be sure to participate in all the spirit dress days and attend the rally on Thursday, Oct. 5. The Big Game will be Friday, Oct. 6, and the Homecoming Dance will take place at CV on Saturday, October 7, 2023, 7:00-11:00pm. Homecoming Court nominations are being accepted this week using the 5 Star App, or the posted QR code. Homecoming Court will be announced on Friday, September 29.
CV SWIM & WATER POLO DINE-OUT – PANDA EXPRESS: Come support the CV Swim and Water Polo Teams at the Panda Dine-Out on Monday, September 25th from 10am-10pm in La Canada. Please let them know you are there for the fundraiser at check out and if you are ordering online don't forget to enter the fundraiser code 359871.
3v3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: There is still space for teams to enter the Intramurals 3v3 Basketball Tournament. If we get enough teams, we can open a second bracket. See Mrs. Beers in Room 1102 to sign up. Next rounds of games is Monday, September 25.

CV PTSA FOOTBALL GAME CONCESSIONS NEEDS YOU! We're seeking volunteers to help in the CV Snack Shack at home games. There are time slots for adults and students! Our next opportunity: Friday, September 29, CV vs. MUIR, (It's Rosemont Night!).Varsity Football 7pm; JV 4Moyse Stadium, Glendale High School. ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION (ENF) 2024 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS - MOST VALUABLE STUDENT (MVS) CONTEST: The 2024 MVS application is now open. Applications can be found online at enf.elks.org/MVS. The application deadline is November 13, 2023. ENF awards 500 four-year scholarships based on academics, leadership, and financial need. National awards range from $1,000 per year to $7,500 per year. The national awards will be announced in April 2024.
LEGACY AWARDS: The Legacy Awards program begins on September 1, 2023. Legacy Awards provide $4,000 scholarships for children and grandchildren of dues-paying Elk members. The ENF offers a total of 350 national awards. The application deadline is February 5, 2024. Please visit enf.elks.org/Leg for more details and the application link. Purchase your AP Exam(s) September 12 through November 3, 2023.
In person at the CVHS student store with credit card, cash, or check payable to CVHS -OR- Online at the student store with a credit card (Processing fee applies). Don't forget to fill out and turn in your AP Exam Registration form! Submit it to the Student Store with payment or, to Ms. Jones in the Assistant Principals’ Office, if paying online. Latecomers, beware! after November 3rd, a $40 late fee per exam applies.
