Wharton Wildcat News
March 25, 2022
Dear Wildcat Families,
Spring Break is here!!! Despite the rainy week, nothing could dampen our school spirit this week. Staff and students alike participated in themed dress days this week, as a fun way to launch into our much needed break. Seeing the students smile and express themselves with creative outfits helped to brighten the somewhat dreary weather this week.
This break is much deserved for all staff and students. Their hard work up to this point has more than earned them a week of rest and relaxation. I hope this break allows everyone to regain the needed strength to finish this year strong. One thing I know for sure is Wildcats never give up!
I wish all staff, students, and families a wonderful break, and I look forward to seeing everyone back in the building on April 4th.
All the best,
Mrs. Sara Leone, Interim Principal

Illinois Science Assessment
On April 12, students will take the Illinois Science Assessment. This assessment contains 3 sections. Like IAR, it is completed online, but it is untimed. ISA is given to students in grades 5, 8, and 11 statewide as a means to gauge scientific knowledge of students. Please ensure students arrive to school well rested for the test.
SD 104 Employee of the Month
Congratulations to our very own Ms. Kirscher for being acknowledged as the SD 104 Employee of the Month. Wharton staff and students are very proud of her!
Band Rehearsal
Students practiced together for the first time as an entire band this Thursday. This full band practice is the first as students prepare for their band performance in May. The beautiful sounds of our musicians filled the gym on Thursday.
