Week of February 5-9, 2024
Watson Families
We hope this week's edition of the Watson Word finds you well. As we dive into February, we have some exciting updates and important events to share with you.
Look out for your child's backpack today as we are sending home the February calendar! Take a moment to review the dates and mark your calendars for the various activities and events in which parents are invited to participate. Your involvement is invaluable to us, and we encourage you to be a part of your child's school journey.
This week, we celebrate National School Counselors Week, recognizing the crucial role that our school counselor, Ms. McMurray, and school social worker, Ms. Sanders, play in supporting our students. Join us in expressing gratitude for their dedication and hard work towards the well-being and success of our children.
We value the partnership between parents and teachers, and as such, we have scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences for next week on Thursday, February 15, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and Friday, February 16, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. This is an excellent opportunity to discuss your child's progress, ask questions, and collaborate with teachers to ensure the best possible educational experience.
Get ready to spread the love! Our Valentine's Dance is just around the corner, taking place on Friday, February 9, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. We encourage your child to participate in this delightful event. Parents are welcome to attend with purchased tickets; please note that this event is exclusive to our school, and older students from other schools will not be able to attend.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in your child's education. We look forward to seeing you at the upcoming events and fostering a strong school community together.
