Buffalo Express

We had a great first week that consisted of welcoming all Buffalos to Berryton for a new academic year. We were honored to have members of the United States Air Force join us in welcoming all of our students on the first day of school, and specifically to support Jaxson Kubie as he joins our BES community.

A Few Items of Note:

• Car Rider Updates- Thanks for your patience as we continue to make our car rider lane safe and efficient. If you exit towards Berryton Road your child will need to enter on the driver's side of the vehicle. If you exit toward Croco Road your child will need to enter on the passenger side of the vehicle.

• Quantum In Action-This week all staff have worked hard on reviewing our 8 keys and establishing agreements to ensure students know how to conduct themselves at BES. You'll see a few examples below.

• Grandparent's Day Calendar Updates- Times for Grandparent's Day festivities are listed below in the Upcoming Dates section of the newsletter.

• Calling all families with students in Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten- We will have hotdogs, hamburgers and sides this coming Tuesday night (8/24) for all families with children in Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten at BES. Families will have time to socialize with one another and learn about classroom routines and happenings for their children. We hope to see you there!

September 13-17 During the school day! Students will be able to purchase books from the book fair during their Library day and time!!

9/9- Grandparent's Day Festivities for students in 3rd and 4th grade from 1:30-2:30

9/10- Grandparent's Day Festivities for students in 5th and 6th grade from 1:30-2:30

As an elementary principal I enjoy working collaboratively with staff members to support student learning. I am passionate about continuing to learn professionally, and building relationships with staff and students at Berryton Elementary. When I'm not serving at Berryton Elementary I am usually with my husband and two sons. We can be found at sporting events, cheering on Kansas State University, or just enjoying a movie at home.
