Thank You Veterans!
Omro Middle School and Omro High School hosted a Veterans Day Program for community veterans today in the PAC to thank them for their service to our country. Students wrote and recited poems, presented thank you cards and honored our local veterans and the veterans stood and recited the oath they took as young service members. We appreciate all they have done to secure our freedoms and keep our country safe.
Additionally, a special thank you and a plaque was given to Mrs. Miller for all the work she puts into setting up for the Veterans Day program as well as her promotion of the Oratorical contest each year.
Congratulations, Allison!
Student of the Month
Each month a student in the senior class is chosen to be the OHS Student of the Month. The student is selected based on scholarship, citizenship, leadership, and co-curricular activities. The November Student of the Month is Allison Schoenike. Congratulations!

IN THE KNOW
Collborative Wellness Screener
The School District of Omro, in partnership with Collaborative Wellness, will once again be offering an opportunity for your tenth grade child to complete a mental wellness screener. The screening will take place on November 29 during Fox Time. When students self-assess their own mental health and social-emotional wellness, it allows us to ensure we’re not missing anything they may be struggling with. The questions the students will be answering will focus on identifying behaviors like stress, shutting down, disengaging, desiring control, being argumentative or disruptive, help-seeking, and the ability to effectively make transitions. Please know that the screener is conducted in a professional manner, and all student information and data are confidential and only used in a way that will ultimately enhance your child's educational experience. The results of the screener will be used to reinforce best practice and support positive behavioral health for all children. Your child’s information will remain confidential, however, if any significant concerns are identified, we will follow-up with you. We have a list of the names of the students who were opted out by parents during school registration to ensure they do not participate in the screener.
Senior Caps and Gowns Presentation
Attention Seniors: The Jostens representative will be here on Wednesday, November 15th during Fox Time to give a presentation on ordering caps and gowns and other graduation related items. Seniors will check in with their Fox Time Advisor and then head to the Commons for the presentation.
Graduation orders will be placed at the cafeteria counter during both lunches on Tuesday, November 21st.
Missing Days Add Up!
Attendance matters and SO DO YOU!! Missing just two days a MONTH can add up to losing an entire year of school by graduation. Be an Attendance H.E.R.O! Here Everyday, Ready, On time!!

Mental and Behavioral Health Resource
Well Badger Resource Center is an information and referral (I&R) service for Wisconsin individuals and families. Well Badger is a one-stop connection to community, social, health, and government programs and resources — so you can find what you need, when you need it.
The Navigator is a free, confidential, online tool designed to help parents, caregivers, and professionals navigate mental and behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and young adults under the age of 21! Just answer a few questions about the child, and the Navigator provides a customized guide to connect the child with the resources and support they both need and deserve.
