PRINCIPAL UPDATE
We are looking forward to welcoming families to our Back to School Night on Thursday, September 21st between 6:00 and 7:30pm. Doors will open at 5:50pm. Back to School Night is an Open House format. Please feel free to drop in when it is convenient for you. See more details below.
School Bus letters and contracts went home on Monday. Please be sure to read these as a family and discuss school bus safety. After reading, students and adults need to sign the contract and return it to school. ALL STUDENTS need to return the bus contracts, even those who walk or get a ride to school. Eventually all students will ride a school bus for a field trip. We appreciate your cooperation with this to help us ensure the safety of all students while riding the bus.
Today marks the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage Month and it is Independence Day in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. We are proud to celebrate the many different cultures represented at Northeast!

π NORTHEAST BUS ROUTES AND INFORMATION
***IMPORTANT: Students are only allowed to ride the bus they are assigned to! Students are NOT ALLOWED to ride another bus to a babysitter's house, caregiver's house, grandparent's house, friend's house, etc.
***IMPORTANT: Students in Grades K-2 who ride the school bus have a red tag on their backpacks. This alerts the bus driver that the student is in K-2. This means that an adult must be present at the bus stop in the morning and in the afternoon. The bus driver will not let a child in K-2 get off the bus without an adult there to meet them. Children in K-2 with no adult present at the bus stop will be brought back to the school and a parent will need to come and pick them up.
***IMPORTANT: If your child is eligible for the bus and is assigned a bus number, and you decide that you do not want your child to take the bus and will be dismissed as a walker or parent pick-up, you must inform your child's teacher and the main office. Otherwise, your child will be dismissed to the bus they are assigned.
***IMPORTANT: If there is going to be a change in your child's dismissal routine on any given day, you must contact your child's teacher and the main office prior to 2:30pm on that day to ensure the message is received. Otherwise, your child will go home the way they typically do.
