Hemlock High School

It is with honor to announce Chayton Ross as one of Hemlock High School’s Top Ten students. Chayton is the son of Steve and Courtney Ross. He will be attending University of Michigan to major in sports management. Chayton is a member of the National Honor Society, FRC Robotics Team and is an Eagle Scout. Chayton has played Varsity Soccer for 3 years and was part of the All Conference Team for the 2021 season. He also participates in band and the Auburn United Soccer Club.

It is with honor to announce Samantha Seidel as one of Hemlock High School’s Top Ten students. Samantha is the daughter of Ann and Dan Seidel. She will be attending Michigan State University to major in Kinesiology. Samantha is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council President and the Senior Class Vice President.

Don’t forget your class dues of $45. Class dues can be broken up by year: $10/$10/$10/$15; or they can be paid in one lump sum. Payment can be in the form of a check or cash and can be turned into the office. Class dues are utilized to pay for things like prom, graduation, class trip and other expenses over the course of high school.

The Class of 2024 is selling Hemlock inspired Pura Vida bracelets. Bracelets will be sold at both lunch hours and home sporting events. Bracelets are $5 each with three color options: blue & white; blue, gray & white; or spring/summer multi. Please contact a Class Advisor for further information.

We have three wrestlers going to INDIVIDUAL STATE TOURNAMENT!!!! Rick Schnell, Mike Murphy, Liam Zastrow, Nevaeh Dwenger put all there effort out on that mat during regionals. Liam & Nevaeh had the hardest bracket at regionals.

2/18/22 - V Girls Basketball @ St. Louis - W (46-21) Chloe Watson led Hemlock with 14 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Breanna Turner added 10 points and 7 rebounds. Regan Finkbeiner contributed 8 points.

The Hemlock Athletic Department would like to congratulate Ryley Chamberlin. She signed with Olivet College to play volleyball. We wish her all the best in the future. Go Comets!

- There is really no special reason why I wear the number 24. It was the first number that I wore when I started playing baseball so I have worn it ever since then.

2) What are some of your other hobbies?

- I like hanging out with my friends, playing video games, and watching movies.

- Scarface

4) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

- Northern Michigan

5) Favorite college/pro team?

- All four Detroit teams

- Mrs. Metiva because we talk quite a bit.

- Accounting

- Stir fry

- Yellow

- Snickers

11) What is your dream job?

- General Manager of the Detroit Lions

12) Do you think playing sports at Hemlock has made a difference in your life? Why?

- Yes because I have made so many memories that I will never forget with my best friends.

- Winning the district championship for baseball.

Spring Sports are just around the corner! Practices begin March 14th for baseball, softball, golf, girls tennis, girls soccer & track & field. All athletes MUST be registered in FinalForms and have a valid physical on file before the 1st day of practice.
