As we've been getting another year started, all students are getting an orientation or re-introduction to the library.
We include our schoolwide values of respect, responsibility and safety. Library specifics for those values include students bringing back library materials on time - we have a three week checkout period. Automated overdue notices are sent out on Sundays to help you remind your child to return their item(s). The only time we collect money from a student for library materials is if they get lost or damaged. The good news is we refund money if the item is returned in good condition.
Our rotation for visits is a bit different than elementary school. At PHMS, students come on a three week rotation. Sixth and eighth grade ELA classes come and in seventh grade, it's the social studies teachers that bring their students.
