Destination Life Transition Fair & Conference
The Destination…Life Regional Transition Fair and Conference helps Central Texas families prepare and support their student(s) with disabilities for life beyond high school. Families can expect to gather information and gain access to experts on how to help their student(s) with disabilities ranging from early childhood through high school to successfully transition to adulthood. This year the event will be held virtually. Please save and visit the Destination Life website to see the available sessions. Join us from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Down Syndrome Family Support Group - Tuesday, March 8th
This support group is an opportunity for families of students with Down Syndrome to share experiences and resources. Join us from 6:30 -7:30pm.
Parent Workshop Night - Wednesday, March 23rd
Supporting Your Young Reader? - Join district reading specialists in a conversation about what research shows helps readers grow and how you can support that at home. We will be focusing on strategies for grades K-2.
The Amazing /r/, /ɚ/, /ɝ/ - What makes R so difficult for some kids to learn? This is a brief explanation of one of the most complex sounds in the English language. We will explain how the tongue works to make the different variations of R and at what age most kids should master this sound. We will also share with you some common error patterns and how your SLP may treat them in therapy. Finally, we will provide helpful tips for what you can do at home to help your child develop or correct this sound.
Stuttering Family Chat - The Stuttering Family Chat is intended for parents and caregivers of students who stutter. During this chat, we will support parents and caregivers seeking to increase their knowledge about stuttering and find new ways to support their child's communication.
Transition Tools - Have you heard about our Visual Transition or Person Centered Planning Tools? Come learn about the tools we use and how they can be an effective part of your child's transition plan!
