Welcome New Staff to FHS!

Over the course of the next few weeks we will be introducing new teachers at FHS. We are so glad they have joined the Herd!

Denielle Bailey

Ms. Bailey has been teaching for 9 years. She is a proud graduate of FHS and is joining us from Florence Middle School. Ms. Bailey will be teaching in our Ag Science department.

Austin Parton

Coach Parton has been teaching for 5 years and is joining us from East View High School. He is originally from Paducah, Texas where he was a two-time State Champion in basketball and track. He is a graduate of Tarleton State University and he and his wife Hannah call Georgetown home. Coach Parton will be teaching in our History department and coaching girls athletics.

Jimmy Duncan

Coach Duncan has been teaching for 31 years and is joining us from Pflugerville ISD. He is originally from Portland, Texas and has coached and taught at Gregory-Portland, San Marcos, Fort Worth, Liberty Hill and Edna. Coach Duncan will be teaching in our DAEP and coaching boys athletics.

Chromebooks

FHS will begin issuing Chromebooks this week on Tuesday and Wednesday through ELA classes. Students must have a signed Chromebook policy on file in order to receive a Chromebook.

Student Drivers

Students driving to school need to obtain their parking pass by the end of this week. In order to obtain their parking pass students will need:

1) Proof of Insurance

2) Drivers License

3) $10

Students may take care of this during lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

Student drivers should enter through the English Hallway, door 309. Students make sure you are parking in the designated student parking area.

Schedule Changes

Student schedules were made and classes built based upon student course requests. We have done our best to honor all course requests; however, due to limited course offerings not all course requests will schedule. We will not be changing student schedules unless an error was made. Please refer to the following from our Student Handbook pg. 91:

Schedule Changes (Middle/Junior High and High School Grade Levels)

Requests for schedule changes are made through the campus counselor. Students may not make schedule changes without a parent signature on the schedule change request form. Changes will be made only if (1) the student is a senior and does not have a course required for graduation; (2) the student does not have the prerequisites for a course; (3) course credit was previously received; (4) a data entry error was made by the school; (5) student has been dismissed from a program that requires approval for placement; (6) any requests to change a schedule for reasons other than those listed will be considered only for a compelling educational circumstance.
