Lemoore Elementary Families,

As Spring is beginning to arrive we have completed the second trimester of the school year. I am so proud of our students' progress and the success they are making in academics and behavior. Teachers are working on completing report cards which they will be sending home on Tuesday, March 7th. At-risk parent conferences will be held March 7th & 8th.

We also celebrated Read Across America the first week of March. Students had some fun dress-up days and guest readers during their library time. We are also excited to have field trips for 2nd, TK, Kinder, and 6th grades.

The month of March also brings a change in Daylight Savings time on March 12th and ICA benchmarks. These are tests that mirror the end of the year state test (CAASPP). Students in grade 3 - 6 will be taking the ELA and Math tests the week of March 6th - 24th.

Finally, the Lemoore Elementary Book Fair will be held the week of March 20th - March 24th. March 23rd is our book fair night carnival. There are so many great things happening every day during the month of March before Spring Break arrives. Please help to make sure students are at school, on time every day.

The ELPAC is used to assess and monitor English Learner students’ progress toward English language proficiency. EL students continue to take the Summative ELPAC annually until they meet their LEA’s reclassification criteria.

The ELPAC will be given during the entire month of March in the ELD classroom.

Report Cards go home on Tuesday, March 7th

At-risk conferences March 7th and 8th

Dismissal will be 1:25pm both days

Permission Slips are now available and due by March 24th

Try-outs are March 28th - 30th

Games will begin in April after Spring Break

School Resumes April 11, 2023

Summer Enrichment Academy (Summer School) is a program serving the kindergarten through 7th grade children currently enrolled with Lemoore Union School District. The focus of the Summer Enrichment Academy will be a well-rounded approach to educating our students including but not limited to the inclusion of music, art, and exploration activities in addition to academic support in English Language Arts and Math. This program will take place at Freedom Elementary School from Wednesday, June 7th through Friday, June 30th 2023. Student instructional hours are 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., including a 30-minute break for lunch. Lunch will be provided for all students. Summer school enrollment is open to students who submit the attached registration form and who currently attend one of the District's schools. Submitted applications will be assigned to classes using the district’s required criteria in the order they are received. Questions about summer school may be directed to the Curriculum and Instruction Department at (559) 925-6270.

Registration forms must be submitted by Friday, March 31, 2023. Parents will be notified of their child’s placement the first week of May, 2023. We are excited for your child to be a part of our Summer Enrichment Academy!
