Indian Trail Schedule Pick-Up

Schedule pick-up will take place by door 3 from 9:00am - 7:00pm on Thursday, August 11th. Please pull your car around to door 3 (map below) to receive your welcome back packet including your child's schedule. To receive a welcome back packet, proof of residency must be complete by Friday, August 5th. If you have any outstanding fees, missing forms, etc you may resolve those at door 3 to receive your packet or prior to August 11th.

This is a drive-through event this year because our round building is still under construction. There is a chance we may move the pick-up location to door 1 if the construction vehicles are still by door 7 because that will block your ability to get out. I will send an updated map if that happens.

Our Meet & Greet is Monday, August 15 at Indian Trail from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. Please park in the parking lot between Army Trail Elementary and Indian Trail and enter through door 8. Students will have a chance to practice opening their lockers, navigate their schedules, and meet new teachers. We will spend the first few days of school orienting students to the building as well and practicing those locks! Just so all you parents know, new students to the middle school usually hit their 'groove' with opening their locker the middle of October - patience and persistence pay off!

Coach Perez and coach Pytko would like to invite any students who enjoy running to come out and join us on the Indian Trail Cross-Country team. Cross-Country is a great way to meet other students and make new friends. Cross-Country is a team sport where typically 6th and 7th grade girls run together in a 1.5 mile race. The 6th and 7th grade boys usually run together for 1.5 miles too. The 8th grade girls and boys run 2.0 miles in their races. The Cross-Country season officially begins on the first day of school on August 17th and lasts through the end of September. Practice is every day after school 3:00-4:30 pm, rain or shine. We will also be hosting a cross country camp this summer August 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, and 12 from 8:00am - 9:30am. All skill levels are welcome! Permission slips can be found in the main office or in Skyward for payment. All students must pre-pay with the main office or through Skyward.

Please consider having your child join Indian Trail to march in the Shriner's Parade this Sunday, August 28th! Any student joining us will be awarded HERO points students can redeem in school for all sorts of IT swag and treats plus a few raffled entries for a couple of sweet prizes. Who wouldn't want to eat a free McDonald's lunch with Mr. Jamrose??

Drop Off & Pick-Up: Any ASD4 student may arrive at the Addison Trail parking lot no later than 2:30pm. Indian Trail, and all other ASD4 schools, will be meeting together at location #3 on the map below. The schools this year are grouped together and will march in alphabetical order.

The parade begins at 3:00pm, and based on our number in the parade, will arrive at Indian Trail sometime usually between 3:30 and 4:30ish. Please plan on meeting your child at Door 8, which is the parking lot that connects Army Trail Elementary and Indian Trail Jr. High. ASD4 will open the yellow gates off of Highview and will be sharing a map with directions on how to enter the parking lot using this street near the maintenance shed for any parents who have questions on where to go.

We have received 100 free backpacks with supplies for families in need. These backpacks are meant for middle school students because they have supplies specifically for our building. Please stop by Indian Trail door 1 on Friday, August 5th from 1:00pm - 3:30pm while supplies last.
