Eagle Characteristics Initiative
Each month we will be looking for student's who exhibit the Characteristics of what it means to be a DES Eagle. This month, staff will be looking for students who exhibit Respectfulness. Make sure to keep an eye out for the "Caught Doing Good" stickers students receive.
Mrs. Harr's Kindergarten Class
This week, kindergarteners in Mrs. Harr's class got a special visit from Oakie.
Grade 1: Ms. Perry's Class
Waiting can be hard when you’re 6. These first graders created the game “Bus Driver” that they play at the end of the day while waiting for their buses to be called.
Mr. Badger with Ms. Perry's Class
Mrs. Perry’s first graders were also in the Computer Lab with Mr. Badger learning about Freckle.
Grade 3: Mrs. Maurer
Mrs. Maurer's class also got a visit from Oakie this week. Of course he needed a nap after visiting all the classrooms this week.
Mrs. Curtis' Newest Coloring Board
Mrs. Curtis' has created another beautiful board for students to color in the first grade hallway.
Student Recognition
Superintendent Bill Runey presents Scott Swale (4th Grader) a certificate of achievement for completing Level 1 on Read Live (reading program). Scott's oral reading rate grew by 29 correct words per minute from September to October. Way to go, Scott! Keep up the great work!
