Martin School Family Update
June 2, 2023
Martin's Senior Walk Through
Dear Martin Families,
What an interesting week! We started it off with Kindergarten screenings and ended it with Martin Alumni walking our hallways one last time before graduating high school--from future Bobcats to Martin students of the past! Incredible!
The post-secondary pursuits of this group of grads include the study of marine biology, special education, genetics, business, environmental science, and acceptance into West Point! What an impressive group of students! We are so proud of them!

Changes to Carpool on Spirit Day (Wed., 6/7/23)
Next Wednesday, the MSA will host a field day at Martin School known as "Spirit Day." There will be a DJ, games, an obstacle course, inflatables, a gaga pit, face painting, Palagi truck, Touch A Truck appearances by our local NAPD/Fire and much more! Events will happen in our back fields and rear parking lot.
To accommodate this event, the back lot will be CLOSED for AM drop off and PM pick up. Car drop off and pick up will still be available, but with much less space. We will be running car drop offs and pick-ups from the side of the building by 1SR and 1H. Expect delays and consider parking your car on the Landry Avenue hill and walking your children to/from school. The walker entrance/exit is located behind our gymnasium.

From the Desk of the MSA: Spirit Day Coming Soon!
Martin Families, we need your help!! The annual Spirit Day is upon us, and comes with your last chance to volunteer this year! It takes over 50 volunteers to make this a special day for the kids. Let’s work together to make this a success. Please follow the link below to sign up to help out! Whether you can only help with set-up the day before or hang out for the whole day, there’s something for everyone.
For grades 2-5, this is a closed event—for students only. However, if you would like to be a part of the Spirit Day experience, please volunteer for one of the many events. You could join in the fun all day, morning or afternoon shift. You could even mix it up with two different events, one in the morning and a different one in afternoon. The more help we get the merrier. Sorry but younger siblings are not allowed.
Lunch will be provided to all full day volunteers!
In order to volunteer, adults must have an active CORI. All classes K through five will attend spirit day following the schedule below. If you would like to be with your child during their session, please make sure you volunteer. Join the fun and volunteer to be a part of this special tradition!
If you can’t make it but would still like to contribute to this fun event. Below you will find a donation sign up genius for some much needed items.

Arrival and Dismissal Notes
If using the carpool lanes for arrival to school, please pull up as far as you can before stopping your car. That will help us maintain an efficient flow of cars at carpool. Carpool students can enter any of the 3 doors opened at carpool. They don’t have to enter the door of their wing.
