Manton Elementary Newsletter
December 17, 2022 Vol. 17
Important Dates to Remember:
- December 21st 1/2 day of school (winter break starts)
- January 3rd: School resumes
- January 17th: No School
News for You:
- Christmas Spirit Days: Starts next Friday (see below)
- Cold Weather: Cold weather is here! Please have your child properly dressed for outside recess!
- Drop-off Lane: Parents/Guardians! Please don't leave your vehicle in the drop-off lane, and please pull forward to allow other vehicles to enter. This WILL help the flow of traffic.
- Parents are strongly encouraged not to contact the office after 2:30 PM to have their child picked up unless of an emergency. The office is busy after 2:30, and it may be challenging to accommodate parents' requests.
- Visitors: Visitors will not be allowed to enter the building this year.
- Please be sure to contact the office and get the proper paperwork for any Medication disbursement or food modification forms for the kitchen. Medication can not be given without paperwork from the school signed by the physician, and this includes Epi-pens and inhalers as well as prescribed and non-prescribed medication. The kitchen cannot accommodate any food modifications without the form from the school filled out by a physician as well.
- PTO: The PTO (parent-teacher organization) is looking for new parent recruits who want to be a part of a great group to enhance the school experience for all students! Please get in touch with Mr. Katona if you're interested in joining! Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, January 4, at 6:30 PM in the Elementary Library. The doors on Maple Street will be open at 6:15 PM.
- Birthday Treats: We strongly encourage pre-packaged birthday treats again this year. Thank you!
