CrisisGo
The system will only email the primary contact for certification. If you need to change that contact, please submit a technology support ticket.
Administrators and staff will have access to a list of students who have not self certified. Students who do not complete the self certification process will not be admitted into the building. Thank you for your cooperation on this important safety matter.
Arrival & Dismissal
With the entire school arriving and dismissing at the same time it is essential that everyone follow our arrival and dismissal procedures. All students and staff must be certified via CrisisGo prior to entry. We greatly appreciate your partnership ensuring the roads are safe for students and staff. Below are general guidelines.
Car Drop Off & Pick Up
Drop off is at 8:20am.
Pick up begins at 3:13pm.
Walkers
Parents should greet students near the perimeter sidewalk.
No dogs allowed on school property per Highland Park City Ordinance.
Bike Riders
- ALL bike racks have been moved near the east playground.
Bus
All bus riders will have an assigned seat for contact tracing purposes
Students must wear a face masks on the bus
More specific information, including a map will be shared next week.
Snacks & Meals
Snack procedures will be communicated by individual teachers. Any snacks sent to school must comply with allergies and other expectations communicated by our staff. In addition, every student should bring a clean and full water bottle to school each day. Please label the water bottle with your child’s name. We recommend that they have bottles that do not require the entire lid to be unscrewed to drink so that spills are limited.
The district is only offering free lunches for students who qualify for our free/reduced lunch program. Students should plan to bring their own lunch. We ask that students bring nut free lunches whenever possible. We will have a separate 'nut-friendly' table in the lunchroom for students that have items containing nuts in their lunches. We are not able to manage food deliveries for students from restaurants or third party vendors such as Door Dash, so please do not send food this way.
The PTO is planning to offer a lunch ordering option, perhaps after Labor Day. More information will be coming.
Visitor Procedure
We will begin to welcome visitors back in the building on a limited basis. All visitors, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear masks at all times when inside the building.
If you are bringing your child into school after the bell, or need to drop off a water bottle/lunch/iPad/etc., please enter through door A3, ring the bell and our front office staff will assist you.
If you are coming to Sherwood for a meeting with a staff member or volunteering, you will be required to complete a Crisis Go screening and go through the Identisys photo ID check in system, which screens all visitors against an offender registry.
