Illinois Digital Educator's Alliance (IDEA)
I recently joined IDEA and am impressed with the scope of this affiliation. It is easy to join and completely free. If you would like to have a constant stream of PDH opportunities as well as information about best educational practices, consider becoming a member.
IDEA provides resources and learning opportunities to help teachers discover how they can leverage technology to engage, inspire, and reach all learners. Membership is free and gives you access to resources, events, and more.
- Professional Development - Illinois State Board of Education approved provider for educator licensure professional development hours (PDH's).
- Scholarships are available up to $1000 for members to pursue an advanced degree, take additional for-credit college courses, or attend professional development workshops and conferences.
- Mini-Grant Program to provide IDEA members throughout the state with funding for educational technology projects that showcase innovation and creativity and directly benefit students in PreK-12 classrooms.
- Regional chapters that sponsor meetings and events providing opportunities for networking and professional development on a local level.

College and Career Readiness
Why Schools Need To Be Intentional About College and Career Readiness
This newsletter is dedicated to the College and Career Readiness Indicator (CCRI).
Resources found below are for 9-12 grade educators preparing for the Report Card 2025 (RC25) data collection. CCRI data has been collected by ISBE since 2021. Schools are required to enter the data for all 9-12 students to show student readiness for post high school. Students may earn the designations in the chart [Distinguished Scholar or College & Career Ready].
To ensure high schools are reporting accurate data, it is essential for educators responsible for the reporting to utilize systems to manage the data, report the data, and review the data for accuracy. The resources below provide information to ensure understanding of the multiple requirements.
Education Lane can also review your CCRI data to assist in system implementation prior to RC25.
Post-Secondary and Career Expectations (PaCE)
Each student should have an individualized learning plan to help make decisions about career and post-secondary (PS) education or training, to plan a course of study, and to make financial aid assessments with family members. The documents below outline expectations for Illinois schools in relation to the College and Career Readiness Indicator (CCRI) that will be factored into summative designations.
