The following students are invited to Honors Night as well:

Wear your graduation gown and your cords - leave your cap at home*
Senior Honors Night
When: Tuesday, May 16th.
Start time: 6:00 pm
Location: Southeast Christian Church, 9650 Jordan Rd, Parker, CO 80134.
Generally speaking, all students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher are invited to attend the event.
We have also sent out some additional invites to students who fall in the following categories: AP Scholars, Activities, Athletics and Honor Societies.
- All cords, stoles, and pins contained in the cap and gown bag should be worn.
- No tickets are required for this event and family members are welcome to attend. There is ample seating and parking, and it is wheelchair accessible.
IMPORTANT
*Students who will be receiving awards certificates during Honors Night will receive their certificates in their diploma envelope. *
Diploma envelopes will be given out at graduation.

Senior Graduation Bags
If you will not be able to pick up your graduation bag on Friday, May 12th please stop by the front office starting Monday, May 15th.

***DU NO BAG POLICY***
DU has provided us with some additional details regarding the "NO BAG" policy.
Updated 5/10/23
This is a DU Policy and we do not have any control over these guidelines. In order to prevent any delays in the check in process, please follow the guidelines below.
The policy is no purses/bags at all.
- This includes fanny packs, purses, clear bags, drawstring bags no matter the size.
- However, clutches and wallets will be allowed in.
- General rule of thumb would be if it fits in a standard pant pocket it would be allowed in assuming it doesn’t contain any prohibited items.
- Guests who require a diaper bag or bag for medical equipment are permitted to bring a bag no larger than 12 in. x 6 in. x 12 in.
- All guests entering with medical or diaper bags are subject to visual screening upon entry.
- There is no bag check available at The Ritchie Center.
- Guests will not be allowed to enter with an unapproved bag.
DU VISITOR GUIDE
Graduation Transportation
- Students will need to provide their own transportation to and from graduation.
- Students need to arrive at 8:00am.
- Students will enter on the North Side of Magness Arena, off Buchtel Blvd, and go directly into the Hamilton Gym.
- Students should arrive dressed in their caps and gowns.
- As parking will be limited, we suggest families drop their graduates off and then go park their car.
2023 Important Senior Dates
Senior Honors Night - Tuesday, May 16th at 6:00pm
Southeast Christian Church - Parker (at the Worship Center).
Awards and Honors will be presented to Seniors.
Student, Faculty Speakers and an Orchestra performance.
Invitation ONLY - No ticket is required.
- Feeder Schools: Buffalo Ridge, Timber Trail, Redstone & Wildcat Mountain
Graduation Rehearsal - Wednesday, May 17th - 3:30pm
All Seniors are required to attend the mandatory rehearsal in the RCHS Gym.
Rehearsal should last approximately 90 minutes.
Attire is casual, do NOT bring your cap and gown.
Graduation Ceremony - Thursday, May 18th at 9:00am
Magness Arena - at the Ritchie Center (University of Denver).
Details of arrival times, logistics, parking and specific directions will be provided as the information becomes available.
Graduation Attire
- Students are not allowed to decorate their cap & gown prior to the graduation ceremony. If they do, they will be asked to remove the decorations before the ceremony.
- Flowers are allowed after the ceremony. If a student receives flowers before the ceremony, they will be asked to put them aside until after the ceremony.
- DU does not allow any noise makers, balloons or confetti.
- Noise makers can disrupt the ceremony and prevent other graduates and families from hearing their name being called.

May 18, 2023 – Graduation Portraits
This year we are working with Lifetouch/Shutterfly for graduation portraits at our commencement ceremony.
- Lifetouch will photograph our graduates and 3-5 days after the ceremony the portraits will upload to a Photo Day website you can access using the link below.
- Once the portraits are uploaded you will be directed to the graduation gallery to view the student portraits for this event
- If you log in prior to the images being uploaded you will receive a special offer to make a pre-payment towards your graduation order and receive free shipping.
- Prepayments are not required to view your student’s portrait, simply wait until after the images are uploaded to the gallery.

RCHS Yearbooks - NEW UPDATE (5/12)
After May 11, books can be picked up in room 4113 during periods 5-7 ONLY.
If your senior has not yet purchased a yearbook, books for purchase will be $100 cash and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. *No checks will be accepted for purchases.
Senior Graduation Tasks
Hello Seniors!
It is officially graduation season! This is a very exciting and meaningful time. It also means you all have very important and mandatory tasks to complete in order to graduate and participate in graduation ceremonies. Please review this email carefully and complete the tasks as outlined below:
ICAP District Senior Graduation Survey
Each senior needs to complete the District ICAP Graduation Survey. To do this, follow these steps:
Log in to Naviance -> Planner -> Tasks -> On the left hand side under Tasks You Need to Work On -> Click the ICAP District Senior Graduation Survey and complete it by May 12th.
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHECK OUT OR GRADUATE IF YOU DON'T COMPLETE THIS SURVEY
Scholarship Reporting
Please complete our Scholarship Reporting Form. It is important to you submit a new response for each scholarship you've received (these can be offered/accepted scholarships!). We want to celebrate you! Please be as accurate as possible but feel free to inlclude all scholarships and dollar amounts.
DCSD G-Mail and Google Drive Access
You will lose access to your google account immediately after graduation. Please be sure to download and save any documents, assignments, emails, etc. you have stored in your DCSD Google account that you may want to be able to access again. Following graduaton, there will be no way for you to obtain those documents, assignments, emails, etc. so it is important to save those things to a personal computer or device.
You will be required to complete these tasks prior to Senior Check Out on May 12th.

Senior Check Out Information for May 12th
Check Out Forms will be available on Tuesday, May 2nd - The Counselors will be located outside the counseling office and they will start handing out the check out forms at 1st lunch.
The following steps & signatures MUST be completed to receive your cap/gown.
COUNSELOR AVAILABILITY - Some Counselors will be unavailable throughout the week. Please check the easel outside the counseling office for times.
1. Check out with each of your teachers .Turn in Books/Materials. You must have a signature from your teacher in the boxes below.
2. Media/Library Center (Please try to complete between May 2nd - 9th) - All books, equipment & computers returned.
3. Counseling Office-Secretaries - "ICAP District Senior Graduation Survey" on Naviance & Scholarship Form
4. Finance Window/Bookkeeper - NEXT TO LAST SIGNATURE (AFTER teachers & media center)
**ALL FINES AND FEES MUST BE PAID.**
5. Counseling Office - Check out with your Counselor. LAST SIGNATURE
- Student participating in Graduation: Yes / No
- Credits complete for Diploma: Yes / No
The senior graduation bag pickup will be located in front of the Box Office from 8-1pm. *You will need to bring your completed check out form with you in order to receive your graduation bag. You graduation bag will contain your cap & gown if your ordered one and any honor cords and pins that you might be receiving.
Graduation Information
- There are enough seats for each graduate to have 8 guests; please do not exceed this number.
Caps, Gowns, and Diplomas
- Caps and gowns should have been ordered by now from Jostens. If you have not ordered one for your student, please use the following Link.

- The caps and gowns will be issued by the theater box office on 5/12 from 8:00am-1:00pm.
- Seniors will need to complete their check out prior to receiving their graduation bag.
- The caps, gowns and tassels that have been purchased by you are for your students to keep.
- The bag containing the cap and gown will also contain all cords, stoles, and pins awarded to the student and should be worn on Senior Honors Night, if your student has been invited.
Required Attire for Graduation - Graduation is a formal ceremony and celebration. The following attire will be expected of your student for the graduation ceremony.
- Please be sure gowns are zipped up.
- A dress or skirt - (The length of the dress or skirt should not extend below the graduation gown.)
- Light-colored blouse.
- Khaki or black long pants.
- Long-sleeved white or light-colored dress shirt with a collar and tie.
- Dress shoes or dress sandals, no flip-flops or tennis shoes.
- Per School Board policy, only school-issued stoles, and cords can be worn during the ceremony. Any item other than the school-issued stoles and cords will be confiscated and the student will need to pick them up after the ceremony.
- The Board Policy states that caps and gowns cannot be altered or decorated in any way, nor will students be allowed to bring objects (such as balloons, streamers, noise makers, etc.) into the ceremony.
- The University of Denver prohibits confetti, helium balloons, and noise-makers.

Immunization Records - How do I pull these?
How to order transcripts after graduation.
- Directions on how to print your graduate’s immunization record and an unofficial transcript will also be included with their diploma or certificate of attendance.
- These records might be needed for scholarship, employment, and fraternity/sorority applications.
- An official transcript will automatically be sent to the college they indicated in their graduation survey.
- Students can still print a copy of their unofficial transcript and their immunization record from Infinite Campus through the month of June only.
- Beginning July 1, graduates must request their transcripts from the DCSD website.
- *After July 1. 2023 you will NO LONGER have access to your IC account. Order your official transcript here.
